Description
Kashima, Japan. This port was hit by the Tsunami in 2011. Thankfully noone was hurt.
This image was part of a showcase of work created while on the Kizuna voluntary program to help out after the 2011 tsunami. The body of work was highly commended by the Australian Ministry for the Arts in the inaugural 'Australian Arts in Asia' Awards. What a perfect time of day to capture this! A lot of times industrial landscapes don't look very pretty, but when they're caught in that sort of sunlight, they can look beautiful-- like in this photo! Congratulations on the DD.
