yup, lake Kawaguchi. I also lived in a place called Kawaguchi which was inland so it diddn't make much sense there either :P

Well, what's AnnamaeTezuka supposed to mean? Best I can think of is that 'before Anna there is steel' or 'in front of Anna there is steel'.

Ah, it's actually a pseudonym with no spaces: the English name Annamae and the Japanese surname Tezuka. Annamae sounds phonetically a bit like anime (but more in the anglicized way of saying it) and Tezuka is the namesake of Osamu Tezuka, the father/god of anime. Hence, my pseudonym is Annamae Tezuka.

i like these kinds of pictures of japan, it's not an overly cliche shot like so many places there, this one is natural, showing more of what japan is like, and not the kind we see in the postcard photos we usually see on dA. you also get a good feel of the atmosphere.

i swear if i see another golden pavilion shot my head will explode.
