I like the silhouette approach here.

Personally I'm still not sure of myself everytime I put on a tie.

I love wearing a tie, never could get a hang of double windsor though

... let me be honest... this picture doesn't give me that 'wow factor' like some of the other wedding pictures you've done... the overall 'essence' of the picture is nice, and of course the 'sentiment' that the picture has captured is admirable, but that's it... I know you could have done better than this Sven... especially with the lighting... the little light that is there on the father's right arm and the son's hair looks promising... maybe that could've continued on the coat, chair (behind the son) and could have highlighted some of the 'features' around the place where the whitest of light is falling...

... the silhouette-type of picture does require absolute dark shadows... if your intention was just that then maybe this picture is okay... I still say 'okay' because I cannot give much credit to snapshots (which I believe, this picture IS)... but coming from a fantastic photographer like you, I expect something better...

sorry for down-to-earth kinds of comments... hope to see some of your fantastic shots like [link] in future
