So I went back to Matsumoto this year and I really wanted to do better than my previous popular image of the same castle [link]

After all, I had a much better camera and equipment at my disposal this time around. So this will be my first of a few submissions of the same subject... sorry :P

Just a long exposure. It's a small pond, so not much movement in the water, but it doesn't look like that.

The magnitude is striking, but even more so is that line that goes straight down the middle. You lined up the corner so smack dab in the center of your shot you can really see the subtle differences in the side in light and the side in shadow. :clap:

Thanks :) It was difficult to line it up in the center as these castles are purposely built to trick the eye into thinking they are symmetrical, thereby confusing would-be attackers slightly. Any advantage helps.
