Behold! My idea of an eye catching resume illustrating my education and work-place experience since high school.

I don't have much use for it right now... but I can't wait to send off a sleak laminated copy to a prospective employer rather than a dull, boring 4 page spread that says the exact same thing as this graphic...

Download to view writing and the mismatched antialiasing on the graph... haha.

get on oDesk as a freelancer. you stated "where you live" there isn't much opportunity for your work as a career. on the web, there is plenty. best of luck to you :)

I'm very impressed with the style and the great amout of information that you provide in a consise manner.

Two questions: First, how has this resume worked out for you?
Second, can you speak to how the graph was created?

Thanks,

Devin Faulkner

Glad you like it :)

To be honest I havent used it much, I'm a teacher first and foremost, and when going for teaching interviews, they tend not to like this sort of thing. That said however I had an interview today as a high school media teacher, and I think they were quite impressed. It did get me a casual retail job, but that's not really what this resume is designed for, which is really a designer role, which really dont exist where I live, so I've never had the chance to use it. If I were to go for such a job, I would be more outlandish and possibly print my damn resume on a chair and leave it in the firm's lobby. Creative studios love that kind of thing.

I created it entirely in photoshop using the polygonal lasso. As such, it's very difficult to update. If I were to redo it, I'd probably render it in a 3d software package, like maya.
