News

Hello everyone, first up thankyou for those of you emailing/noting me asking if I've fared well due to the recent naural disaters that have struck Australia. The Flooding of Brisbane/regional Queensland and Victoria, Cyclone Yasi, and the bushfires in Victoria. But I wish to say that I live in Adelaide, the capital city at the center, on the southern coast of Australia, and the wildest weather we get here are the odd bush fire, but there hasnt been one where I live in my lifetime. That said though, the weather has been really hot as of late, over 40 degrees most days of the last week.

Other than all that, I've started my new job as a high school photography teacher this term on a term contract, so hopefully I make a good impression and land some other work by the end. But due to that work, I am able to claim things like full accrediation with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) on my next tax return, so that's what I've done, and I get to put an APP on the end of my name now :)(Accredited Profesisonal Photographer).

For those of you interested my full name now is -

Steven P Duncan Mteach BA DipCIT APP

Bit of a mouthfull ay? :P

Those of you familiar with the PDN magazine, and Photographer's Forum magazine - I have been selected as a finalist in both these magazine's student photography awards for 2010, so that would be awesome if I won them :)
Also a finalist in the Clickit 2010 Photo essay category - a contest in the UK, also awesome if I can win :)

Congratulations on all of your success, Steven! I'm very happy to see you working in the field that you want to... Photography, that is. Teaching it seems like it'll be a lot of fun and quiet a challenge. =)

Your photographs have always been an inspiration to me and you can count on it that I'll always be a fan of your art. I'm proud of you!

Hey hey Rina!

You still working at Disney? My sister is going on a road trip around the states this year, starting in Vancouver, Canada, to the East cost, South and back again. I wonder if she'll be visiting you at Disney.

Oh that's cool! I actually don't work at Disney anymore. I quit last August and am now living in Arizona (about 6 hours by car, hour by plane). =( Five years put in at Disney though... man! XD

Anyway, that's cool about the roadtrip your sister will be taking. That's going to be a lot of fun! =) You should do that sometime too! XD

Hahaa, moved in with the boyfriend. XD We're going to be starting up our very own screen printing company next month so we're set for that to take off very soon. And yes, also went back to school to finish up. It's been way too long. v_v

I do miss Disney since I was there for 5 years but still grateful to have good friends that still work there. =)

Nah, still with the folks. Bit of a boomerang after coming home from Japan. But hopefully out again soon.
